How We Used Paid Search Marketing To Generate 350+ Window Tinting Leads For A Specialty Automotive Shop

Campaign Strategy

In early 2024, one of our automotive clients came to us wanting to generate more leads for their window tinting service. Happy with the previous successes using paid search to promote their paint protection film services, they decided to invest $750/month into paid search advertising for tinting.

With a solid reputation for the automotive shop and a history of past customers travelling further for their high quality services, we decided to cast a wide net with a 40 mile radius-targeting around their shop encompassing parts of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.

Paid Search Performance

Since launching in April 2024, the “Tinting” paid search campaigns have improved each quarter. From Q3 2024 to Q1 2025 the Conv. Rate has increased from 7.32% to 15.05%, while the Cost/Conv. has decreased from $39.43 to $31.23. By far, the best month yet was March 2025 when the Tinting campaigns generated 51 leads at a 18.22% Conv. Rate and a $24.48 Cost/Conv.

In a calendar year (May 2024 - April 2025), the “Tinting” campaigns brought in 352 leads on $11,907.91 in Ad Spend. That averages out to a $33.83 Cost/Conv. on a 10.37% Conv. Rate

Other Campaign Successes

As we mentioned, we also created additional paid search campaigns to promote the shop’s paint protection film services. From 2022 - 2024, the “Paint Protection Film” paid search campaigns generated 713 leads on $21,739.07 in Ad Spend. That averages out to a $30.51 Cost/Conv. on a 12.62% Conv. Rate
